  Hi! I am Navali -- a Shia Imami Ismaili Muslim. I am into an     independent study of comparative religion.

I would like to share the fruit of this labor with you, my fellow traveler in your quest for spiritual truth. This study is based on the Scriptures of the three major Faiths of the world vis-à-vis the Abrahamaic Faith [Judaism, Christianity & Islam], biblical archaeological discoveries, the Dead Sea Scrolls, etc., with particular accent on the ETERNAL ISLAM [Submission to God].

    The Old Testament                         
Deuteronomy 6:4-5 -- Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD. And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

       The New Testament
Mark 12:29-30 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

            The Holy Qur'an:

042.013: He hath ordained for you THAT RELIGION which He commended unto Noah, and that which We inspire in thee (Muhammad), and that which We commended unto Abraham and Moses and Jesus, saying: Establish THE RELIGION, and be not divided therein. Dreadful for the idolaters is MAA -- THAT -- unto which -- ILAYH---- HE WHOM thou callest them. Allah chooseth FOR HIM-- ILAYHI -- whom He will, and guideth UNTO HIM ---ILAYHI -- him who turneth (toward Him).

     In the name of Allah, Rahman, Rahim.
1:1 Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,

1:2 Ar Rahmaanir Rahiim,
1:3 MAALIKI YAWMID DIIN -- Master of the Day of Judgment,

1:4 Thee we worship; Thee we ask for help.

     Islam then, is the Faith of the past, present and future. It is a monotheistic faith of Abraham, the founder of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Within this Eternal Faith of Islam is also revealed the Concept of Imamat -- Spiritual Guidance for mankind.

     This Holy Institution of Imamat is held in accordance with the Bible and the Holy Qur'an by an Ever Living & Present Holy Imam, who interprets the faith for His followers according to changing times and circumstances, thus making it current at all time.

      This practice had continued from the time & revelation of Melchizedek, the Eternal Priest [Imam] of the Most High God or El-Elyon [Heb] & Al-Aliyun [Arb] -- [ref: a. yusuf ali's, 1977 publication isbn no. 0-89259-018-1, f/note #2411, pp. 748].

      Genesis 14:18-20
And Melchizedek king of Salem .... and he was the PRIEST [IMAM] of the most high God [El- Elyon--Heb- & Al-Aliyyun--HQ: 4:34 & 42:51]. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram [Abraham] of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand.        The Holy Qur'an -- 017.071-72
On the day when We shall summon all men with their IMAM--IMAAMIHIM -- ..... Whoso is blind IN THIS--FII HAAZIHII -- will be blind in the Hereafter, and yet _f_u_r_t_h_e_r_ from the _r_o_a_d._
